I love this store! I'm originally from Scotland and love finding things from back home there. I especially make sure I go at Christmas as they have Christmas crackers and some more unusual things to put in stockings. Good selection of clothes for everyone. You really need to look through a lot to find what you're looking for but the prices are good so that's ok. They like to see your ID when you check out, which is a pain if you forget to bring it but I guess you can be sure no one will go there if they steal your card.
Although the associates were nice the Manager was extremely rude and disrespectful. I had bought a baby's Jacket for $20 and when ringing out the associate had cut himself. What I didn't realize till leaving the store was that the associate had bleed on the jacket when I went to return it, they at first refused saying that it belonged in a set but I had only bought it as a one piece (anyone who has an infants and toddlers department should know how common mismates are in it lol) which was really upsetting because I obviously wasn't gonna put my child in bloody clothes. I asked if she was able to watch the cameras to see the footage that I bought it only as a single. She said she didn't have the ability which I know working in retail you have to have the ability to. Finally once the associate that bleed on my garment came forward they did. I felt like I was targeted for first the associate who rung me out not doing his job correctly and looking at the tag where it would've said "set" and having done something than. All together the manager was very rude and clearly helps proves that people from Lima are trashy and ghetto. Never shopping at that store again.
It is a great store, indeed. However, yesterday I felt duped. September 23 was the day when customers were invited to come between 8:30 and 9:30 to get a free bag, if they had a TJMAXX credit card. After having bought "stuff" for $80 dollars, I chose the bag I liked .... only to hear in return that I was NOT allowed to have ANY bag ( they are usually 99 cents!), but only one out the two I was offered. The least attractive, honestly. When I expressed my disappointment, I was told it was the manager's decision. Makes me think Lima store needs a different type of manager, not this one, whose penny-wise policy offends customers who spend hundreds at the store.
