Needless to say, we have crossed Applebee's off of our list of restaurants.
Good atmosphere, great food and drinks. All their locations are great, from Ohio, to Montana, to New Hampshire, all the way to my home town, Plant City, Florida.
Applebee's was our go-to restaurant for a few years. You could always depend on it being good with a really great menu. I particularly fell in love with the Honey Pepper Chicken Mac & Cheese and I was even willing to disregard the high calorie content because it was soo good and I could usually take home the leftovers and have it again. But then the portion size went down. We went to 3 different Applebee's and all three were smaller. The price however, did not go down.
She took wonderful care of my girl on her birthday!!!! Will come back and ask for her!
Food and service was good, but not a cheap eat, find a good local place and give them a shot
In all of my years cooking, I have never served the GLAZE on the side. The whole point of a glaze is to be cooked on the meat. Otherwise it is a sauce. I asked the waitress if this was normal because a glaze is supposed to be cooked on the meat and she said yes. She said some people don't want the glaze on their salmon where I said maybe you should find out from the customer which way they prefer before sending the order to the cook.
The last straw for me was when we went & I ordered the Cedar Salmon with Mustard Glaze. It came with mashed potatoes. The potatoes we're cold and the cedar salmon had no glaze/sauce. When I inquired to the waitress I was brought a small container of COLD sauce. Shaking my head, I poured it on top of the salmon where it proceeded to also turn cold.

The food was good, the service, not so much. We stopped in with our son for lunch. We barely had our food when the waitress began to ask us if we were ready for the bill. She kept hounding us after that, every few minutes. "Can I get to go boxes for you?" That was after about 10 minutes. I got up to use the bathroom and she tried to take my plate. It was more than half full. I've been a waitress, so I thought maybe it was the end of her shift. Still rude, but we took the bill, paid and left a tip with it, thinking she would leave is alone. She didn't. This was the middle of the afternoon and no where close to closing and the place was empty. We felt unwelcomed. Really wishing 8 hadn't left her a tip.
